Vertical integration isn't just a cost advantage — it's a sustainability one. Because we extrude, form, trim and recycle under one roof, material stays in the loop instead of leaving it. Here is what that means in practice, and what we can put on paper for your ESG questionnaire.

A closed regrind loop

Skeleton waste and trim offcuts from forming go straight back through in-house recycling into new sheet. Because extrusion and forming share one roof, our scrap never leaves the building — it becomes the next part.

Recycled-core (ABA) sheet — up to 70%

ABA is a layer construction, not a material — a recycled core (up to ~70%) sandwiched between virgin skins, co-extruded in ABS, HIPS, PP, PET or almost any grade we run. Virgin surface quality outside, recycled content inside.

RPET, PLA & bio-grades

Post-consumer recycled PET sheet for packaging, and compostable PLA / bio-PET grades for food-service disposables — extruded in-house with the same process control as every StellarEx grade.

Rooftop solar power

Solar generation on our plant rooftops offsets a share of the energy that heating, forming and extrusion consume — visible on the aerial photo of the facility.

Lightweighting vs metal & FRP

Thermoformed panels replace sheet metal and fibreglass at a fraction of the weight — cutting the energy a vehicle, appliance or shipment consumes for its entire service life, not just at manufacture.

Compliant by material choice

RoHS and REACH compliant grades, FDA food-contact materials and halogen-free FR formulations — with declarations supplied as part of the standard documentation pack.

Our in-house recycling line

We recycle and reprocess skeletal offcuts and regrind on our own line — turning production waste into high-quality raw material for new sheet. Six stages, all under one roof.

    Collection

    Skeletal offcuts and trim scrap are collected straight off the forming lines.

    Shredding

    Material is shredded into uniform flake sized for efficient reprocessing.

    Washing

    Thorough washing removes dust, labels and contaminants.

  4. 4

    Drying

    Moisture is removed to ensure consistent, high-quality regrind.

  5. 5

    Regrind

    Clean, dry flake is processed into regrind, ready to be re-used.

    Reuse

    Regrind is blended into the ABA recycled core to make new sheet.

One roof, one loop

Offcuts from trimming go back to regrind. Regrind goes into the ABA core. The core becomes new sheet. The sheet becomes the next part. Nothing needs a truck to get recycled.
