Bathtubs, shower trays and vanity shells are classic deep-draw thermoformed products — a glossy acrylic surface formed over a mould, then reinforced for strength. Indu Thermoformers forms sanitaryware shells in acrylic (PMMA), PMMA-ABS and ABS on the largest thermoforming bed in India, with the deep-draw control and Class-A finish these parts demand.
A gloss surface, formed and reinforced
Sanitaryware starts as a bright, scratch-resistant acrylic (PMMA) or PMMA-capped ABS sheet, deep-drawn over the tub or tray mould so the show face comes off the tool glass-smooth and colour-fast. The formed shell is then reinforced — with backing board, resin or ribs — for the rigidity a wet-area part needs. Draw ratio, wall distribution and plug assist are controlled so the surface stays even down deep sidewalls and around tight radii.
Big parts are our home ground
Tubs and trays are large, and large parts are exactly what our thick-gauge lines and India-largest bed are built for. Colour, gloss level and texture are extruded into the sheet in-house — so a matched range of tubs, trays and panels comes off the same controlled material, and soft tooling for a new model is cut in weeks rather than committed to an expensive steel mould.
