Medical & sterile trays
Thermoformed medical & sterile trays
Medical trays hold and protect devices through sterilisation, transport and the point of use — so they demand clean, dimensionally exact cavities and a flange that seals reliably to a Tyvek or foil lid. Indu Thermoformers forms medical device trays, procedure trays and sterile-barrier packaging in medical-grade PETG, PET, PP and PVC — produced in cleanroom conditions and supplied gamma- or EtO-sterilised.

Trays that seal, sterilise and present the device
A medical tray is a sterile-barrier system, not just a holder. We form glass-clear PETG and PET for cavities that locate the device precisely and seal cleanly to Tyvek or foil lidding, and polypropylene for steam and gamma routes. Cavities are formed to your CAD so the device seats without rattle, with finger scallops, peel corners and cavity draft designed for aseptic presentation at the point of use.
Cleanroom production, sterilisation-ready, fully traceable
We form and pack trays under cleanroom conditions and supply them gamma- or EtO-sterilised, with controlled handling that keeps parts contamination-free. Sheet is extruded in-house and traceable to the resin lot, first articles are inspected against your CAD (FAIR), and COA, MTC and PPAP-level packs are available on request. Tooling is cut in-house on 5-axis CNC, so cavity revisions during design validation happen in days, not tool-shop weeks.

Why Indu for medical & sterile trays
In-house sheet extrusion
We extrude the sheet we form — grade, colour and thickness controlled from the pellet, with no outside vendor in the loop.
Largest bed in India
Thin- and thick-gauge lines, including the largest thermoforming bed in the country for oversized parts.
Tooling in 2–4 weeks
Moulds and trim fixtures designed and cut in-house on 5-axis CNC — fast, and cheap to revise.
ISO 9001 & full docs
8-gate inspection with COA, MTC, FAIR and PPAP-level documentation on request.
Frequently asked questions
What materials are medical thermoformed trays made from?
Most commonly medical-grade PETG and PET for clarity and Tyvek sealability, and polypropylene where gamma or steam sterilisation compatibility is required. PVC is used for some legacy device trays.
Can the trays seal to a Tyvek lid?
Yes — we design the flange and seal land to your lidding and sealer so the tray forms a validated sterile barrier that peels cleanly for aseptic presentation.
Do you offer cleanroom production?
Yes — we produce and pack medical and sterile trays under cleanroom conditions, with controlled handling to keep parts contamination-free.
Can the trays be sterilised?
Yes — our medical trays are supplied gamma- or EtO-sterilised, and are compatible with steam sterilisation routes as well.
Do you provide documentation for medical programmes?
Yes — in-house sheet extrusion gives lot traceability, and we supply FAIR, COA, MTC and PPAP-level documentation on request, backed by our 8-gate inspection system.
Can you form trays to our exact device CAD?
Yes — cavities are formed to your 3D CAD with the draft, radii and locating features the device needs, and proven on first-article samples before production.
