Indu Thermoformers manufactures thermoformed EV battery components in India — CCS (cell contacting system) trays, battery module covers, cell separation structures and BESS enclosure parts. Formed in halogen-free flame-retardant polycarbonate (UL 94 V-0 from 0.25 mm, CTI 600, 38 kV/mm dielectric strength) that we extrude in-house — so battery programmes get high-voltage insulation parts with material traceability from the pellet.

Common questions

What is a CCS tray and why is it thermoformed?

A cell contacting system (CCS) tray locates busbars, FPCs and sense leads over the cells of a battery module. Thermoforming it in PC-FR gives precise cavity location, V-0 flame retardance and high-voltage insulation at a fraction of injection-mould tooling cost — and lets the design change as the module evolves.

Why does CTI 600 matter for battery parts?

CTI (comparative tracking index) measures resistance to surface tracking at high voltage. CTI 600 — the highest class — permits tighter creepage distances between conductors, letting battery designers pack cells and busbars closer while meeting IEC 60664 insulation rules.

Can you support BESS (battery energy storage) programmes?

Yes — module enclosure shells, compartment liners and separation structures in Shield FR PC and FR ABS, with the material documentation and repeatability grid-scale programmes demand.
