Electronics move through the factory in trays — and if those trays are not ESD-safe, static kills yield. Indu Thermoformers forms conductive and static-dissipative trays for PCBs, connectors, components and sub-assemblies, in permanent ESD grades extruded in-house so the surface resistivity is built into the sheet, not sprayed on to wear off.

Static protection built into the sheet

We form permanent ESD grades of ABS, PS and PET — conductive (10⁴–10⁶ Ω/sq) and static-dissipative (10⁶–10⁹ Ω/sq) — where the antistatic performance comes from the material itself, so it does not humidity-cycle or wipe off like topical coatings. Cavities are formed to the component so parts seat securely, nest for transport and present the right face for automated pick-and-place or manual kitting.

Trays sized to your line and your part

From matrix trays for loose components to shadow-board kitting trays for sub-assemblies, cavities are cut on our 5-axis CNC to your part geometry — including denest features, hand scallops and stacking lugs. In-house extrusion means we match gauge and colour to the tray, and reground scrap keeps cost down on high-volume programmes.

Frequently asked questions

What surface resistivity do your ESD trays offer?

Conductive grades at 10⁴–10⁶ Ω/sq and static-dissipative grades at 10⁶–10⁹ Ω/sq, chosen to match your handling and packaging spec. The performance is inherent to the sheet, not a topical coating.

Are the antistatic properties permanent?

Yes — we use permanent ESD-grade sheet, so performance does not depend on humidity and does not wear off with handling, unlike sprayed antistatic coatings.

Can you make trays to hold our specific component?

Yes — cavities are formed to your component or CAD with the right nest, orientation and denest features for manual kitting or automated pick-and-place.

Do you make kitting and shadow-board trays?

Yes — custom kitting, shadow-board and matrix trays for sub-assembly and line-side supply, in ESD-safe grades.
