Quality Systems
Precision, Traceability, and Process Control in Every Part
At Indu Thermoformers Pvt. Ltd. and Formpack, quality is not inspected into the product — it is engineered into the process.
From resin selection to final dispatch, every stage of production operates under a structured Quality Management System aligned with ISO 9001:2015 principles. Our focus is simple: dimensional consistency, mechanical reliability, material integrity, and repeatable performance across every batch.
We serve industries where tolerance, compliance, and traceability are non-negotiable — automotive, EV, medical, industrial equipment, electronics, and export OEM programs.
Quality is therefore process-driven, data-backed, and continuously improved.
Incoming Material Control
Every production cycle begins with strict raw material verification.
Incoming resins and sheets are checked for:
-
Correct grade and supplier confirmation
-
Batch traceability
-
Mechanical property consistency
-
Melt flow characteristics where applicable
-
Certification compliance (RoHS, REACH, FDA, UL as required)
Material segregation protocols prevent cross-contamination between polymers. Flame-retardant grades, food-contact materials, and export-specific compounds are handled separately and documented accordingly.
Material control is the foundation of dimensional and structural stability.
Process Control & In-Process Monitoring
Heavy-gauge thermoforming demands tight process control. Sheet temperature, heater zoning, vacuum pressure, plug assist timing, and cooling rates directly influence wall thickness and part accuracy.
Our in-process monitoring includes:
-
Heater calibration and temperature profiling
-
Vacuum and pressure system verification
-
Cycle time validation
-
Periodic dimensional checks during production runs
-
First-off and last-off inspection validation
Critical dimensions are monitored using calibrated gauges, templates, and digital measurement tools. Where required, Statistical Process Control (SPC) is implemented to track process variation and ensure consistency across production batches.
Preventive maintenance schedules ensure forming machines, extrusion lines, and trimming systems operate within defined tolerances.
Tooling & Trimming Accuracy
In thermoforming, tool accuracy defines part repeatability. Tool condition, venting integrity, and surface consistency are routinely evaluated.
CNC trimming operations are validated using:
-
Dedicated trimming fixtures
-
Datum-based referencing systems
-
Gauge-based dimensional confirmation
This ensures edge profiles, hole placements, and interface surfaces meet assembly requirements — particularly critical for automotive and industrial housings.
Final Inspection & Validation
Every production batch undergoes structured final inspection prior to dispatch.
Inspection protocols include:
-
Visual surface evaluation
-
Dimensional verification
-
Fitment validation using mating components or fixtures
-
Functional testing where applicable
Batch-level documentation is retained for traceability. For OEM and export programs, we support PPAP submissions including dimensional reports, material certifications, process flow documentation, and control plans.
Quality records are maintained to ensure full backward traceability from dispatched parts to raw material batches.
Traceability & Documentation
Traceability is built into our workflow.
Each production batch can be traced through:
-
Raw material lot number
-
Machine and tool identification
-
Production date
-
Inspection records
-
Dispatch documentation
We provide:
-
Certificate of Analysis (COA)
-
Material Test Certificates (MTC)
-
Compliance declarations (RoHS, REACH, etc.)
-
PPAP documentation where required
For export customers, documentation alignment is maintained to meet international compliance standards.
Corrective Action & Continuous Improvement
Quality management extends beyond inspection.
Our system integrates:
-
Root cause analysis
-
Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA)
-
Process deviation tracking
-
Internal audits
-
Kaizen-driven improvement initiatives
Any non-conformance triggers structured review and corrective implementation. The objective is not just correction, but prevention of recurrence.
Continuous improvement is embedded in daily operations, not treated as a periodic exercise.
Compliance & Material Responsibility
We routinely process:
-
Food-grade polymers
-
Flame-retardant materials (UL94 compliant)
-
Recyclable polymers
-
Sustainable and bio-based options where technically viable
Compliance with customer-specific regulatory requirements is verified prior to production.
Infrastructure & Capability
Our manufacturing facilities in Mumbai and Umargaon are equipped for both thin gauge (0.2–2.0 mm) and heavy gauge (2.0–12.0 mm) thermoforming, supported by in-house sheet extrusion, tool development, CNC trimming, and finishing systems.
Material expertise includes ABS, HIPS, PP, PET, PETG, PVC, PMMA, and Polycarbonate, enabling us to align mechanical performance with application requirements.
Quality in thermoforming is not just about visual appearance — it is about structural consistency, dimensional reliability, and long-term performance in the field.
Built for OEM Expectations
With over 40 years of industry experience, Indu Thermoformers and Formpack operate as integrated manufacturing partners for OEMs and global brands.
Every component reflects:
-
Process discipline
-
Engineering validation
-
Cost efficiency
-
Production repeatability
Quality is not a department. It is a system that runs through material selection, forming, trimming, inspection, and dispatch — ensuring every part performs exactly as intended.
